Botanical Printing Workshop

A beautiful day spent exploring eco printing techniques with my mum and aunty.

Carla Rose from Elemental Leaf ran a wonderful workshop where we learnt to use Eucalyptus leaves to dye natural fabric with water infused with rusty nails! (This acts as a mordent to fuse the dye).

Different eucalyptus leaves create different colours, from rusty red through to muddy yellows. It’s fascinating to see which colours will appear once the parcel has been unwrapped.
